Jitin had joined the credit rating division of ICRA Limited in 2008 and has a work experience of around 18 years overall. He has been involved in rating assignments of issuers in a wide variety of sectors. He has also been involved in ICRA’s research initiatives having authored a large number of research reports, besides being involved in various investor outreach programmes. He was also a member of the Rating Committee of ICRA for around three years before assuming the role of Head, Credit Policy in April 2015. As part of the credit policy team, he is responsible for providing leadership on development and updating of ICRA’s rating methodologies and indulging in regular analysis and review of ratings performance in terms of rating stability, rating accuracy and default rates.
Amit Kumar Gupta
Mr. Amit Gupta is a full-time Director and General Counsel of ICRA Limited. Mr. Gupta joined ICRA in 2015. He has over 20 years of diverse industry experience mostly insurance and financial services. Prior to joining ICRA, Mr. Gupta worked at Ameriprise Financials, Aviva Life Insurance, Sanlam Investment and Bajaj Allianz managing various responsibilities in the similar domain. Mr. Gupta is on the Board of ICRA Lanka Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICRA. Mr. Gupta is a law graduate and a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
She started her career at KPMG in 2014 as an Audit Associate. Later joined ICRA Lanka and has 7 years of experience in accounting and finance. For a brief period, she also served as Compliance officer. She holds Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree specialized in Finance with the first class from the university of Colombo. She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
HEAD OF RATINGS
Rasanga is the head of Finance Sector Ratings at ICRA Lanka, where he overlooks bank, NBFI, insurance, and other financial sector ratings. Specialist in corporate finance, valuation, financial analysis, Rasanga has close to four years of experience in credit rating. Before joining ICRA, he worked as an investment banking analyst at York Street Partners, which is a Sri Lanka focused investment bank, where he worked on numerous financial advisory and fundraising exercises. He holds B.Sc in Finance degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a passed finalist of CIMA UK. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK.
Having over 16 years of experience, Apsara is a sector specialist in the credit ratings related to financial sector companies, including insurance companies, non –banking financial institutions and primary dealers. Having come from a multi-disciplinary background, she has previously worked as an equity analyst, covering companies in the banking and diversified sectors. At Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, she supported the asset management division of a multinational bank and gained exposure to various investment vehicles including Mutual Funds and REITs. In addition, she has worked at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) in the International Trade Unit and Industry, Public Enterprise Reform and Regulatory Policy Unit as a research officer, and has written papers on the related topics. She has also worked at KPMG, Ford, Rhodes and Thornton, Colombo. Apsara holds a degree in Economics from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. She is currently a Level 3 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Programme.
Sachini is working in the capacity of analyst at ICRA Lanka. An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, She has five years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Sachini is currently engaged in the ratings of Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions and previously was attached to Accounts and Compliance departments. Sachini worked at Ernst & Young, Colombo before joining ICRA Lanka.
Sanduni is an Associate Analyst at ICRA Lanka specialized in Non-Banking Financial Institutions. Previously, she worked as a Transfer Pricing Executive under the Tax department of Ernst & Young, where she was engaged in the delivery of transfer pricing services to clients from multiple industries. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Melbourne.
